He is survived by: his wife Joan Spivey; his daughter Carrie Shuler (Jeff) of Bryson City; his stepchildren, Jaime Earwood (Billy), Scott Wallen (Michelle) and Mark Wallen (Tracey); his grandchildren, Jarrett Shuler (Shayna), Emory Shuler (Amy), Adison Shuler, Bobby Wallen (Lauren), Andrew Wallen (Kaitlyn), Kyndle Jefferies (Ethen), Madison Metcalf (James), Mackenzie Wallen and Lauren Wallen; and his sister Eunice Summey (Gene). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
