She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Henderson and Mildred Henderson; her siblings, Kathy Byrd and Jay Henderson; and her grandparents, Sophia, Grover Nelson, Carrie and Ot Henderson.

She is survived by: her husband John; her daughter Lisa (Wes) of Alabama; her grandchildren, Neil (Katie) and Priscilla (Joe) of Georgia; and her great grandchildren, Savannah and Cale.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Christian Academy, Bryson City, North Carolina.
