He is survived by: his wife Betty Burnette Shuler; his son Sandy Patton; and his brothers, Vaughn Shuler (Sheila) and Wade Shuler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends all touched by his quiet strength.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Deep Creek Missionary Baptist Church (151 Deep Creek Church Rd, Bryson City, NC 28713). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
