She was predeceased by: her mother Imogene Dills Roper; her husband Lon Freeman; and her brother Thomas Roper (Donna). She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Freeman (Nancy), Lawrence Freeman (Crystal) and Bernice Mashburn (Eddie); her grandchildren, Kyle Mashburn, Beth Mashburn, Christopher Mashburn, Casie Mashburn, Amber Freeman, Amber Bird, Brianna Woodard and Fussy Bird; her sisters, Lillian Sawyer of Robbinsville and Alice Longwith of Bryson City; and her sister-in-law Imogene Gilstrap (Marion). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
