As we bid adieu to Virginia's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Virginia has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd A. Martin and Mildred Shepherd Martin; her daughter Hannah Bridges Ogle; and her sister Hazel Martin Jones. She is survived by: her husband Harold Bridges; her son Vic Bridges (Beth); her sister Verna Wiggins Kirkland; her son-in-law Phillip Ogle; and her siblings-in-law, Dave Jones, Terry Arvey and Ronda King. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Brendle Hill Cemetery (2150 Alarka Rd, Bryson City, NC 28713).
