She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Chissler and Alfred Chissler; and her brother Alfred. She is survived by: her children, William Novakowski (Keith) of Bel Air, Mark Novakowski (Rachel) of Montrose, Adam Novakowski of Savanah, Tanya Novakowski of Burgaw and Tara Arnette (Justin) of Burgaw; her grandchildren, Krysten, Travis of Montrose and Emily; her son Chris; her husband Bill; and her sister Louise.
In honor of Barbara's life and her compassion for others, contributions can be made to the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Foundation or St. Mark Catholic Church both located in Wilmington, NC.
