We announce the death of Barbara Evon Starnes (Burgaw, North Carolina), born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 81. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She is survived by: her grandsons, Matthew, Mitchell, Kirk and JJ; and her pet Gracie Mae.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at the Sunset Memory Gardens (8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227).
