She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Lucy Gurganous Wells; her husband Alfred Owens; and her sister Effie Joyce Bertmeyer. She is survived by: her children, Karen Pate (Wayne), Charles Owens, Penny Currier (Vance) and Gayle Crabbe (Allan); her grandchildren, Jennifer Davis (Dave), Eric Pate (Ren), Crystal Currier, Jason Crabbe (Brittany) and Johnathan Crabbe (Alexandra); her great grandchildren, Stella, Cora, Emma and Zachary; and her siblings, Marvin Wells (Betty Joyce) and Shelby Claussen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel (308 W Fremont St, Burgaw, NC 28425). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
