We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2024, at the age of 94, Cleta McLendon of Burgaw, North Carolina, born in Wayne County, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cleta McLendon to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Jennette and Lucy Taylor Jennette; her husband George McLendon; her son-in-law Larry Mitchell; and her siblings, Bromley Jennette, Buck Jennette, Robert Jennette and Carolyn Jennette Parks.

She is survived by : her daughter Susan McLendon Mitchell; her granddaughters, Meredith Susan Mitchell and Alexis Mitchell Hunter; her grandson-in-law Wes Hunter; her great grandchildren, Mason James Hunter and Banks McLendon Hunter; her sister Naomi Jennette Cottle; and her sister-in-law Lorraine Jennette. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be made to Burgaw Baptist Church in Cleta McLendon's name.
