James William Guyton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James William Guyton (Burgaw, North Carolina), who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Woodbury Guyton and Katie White Guyton; his former wife Cynthia Ann Pridgen Guyton; his granddaughter Heather Diane Guyton; and his brothers, Edward Guyton and Paul Ray Guyton.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Elizabeth Thomas Guyton; his children, June Guyton Neeves (Bill) and Joseph William Guyton (Ruth); his stepchildren, Phyllis Blackwell (Joe), Joyce Bowman (Roger) and Kenneth Bennett; his grandchildren, Jennifer Dixon (Bryce), Matthew Neeves (Shannon) and Katie Ann Boyd (Duane); and his siblings, Annie Pearl Woodcock and Joseph Franklin Guyton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Quinn McGowen Funeral Home (308 W Fremont St, Burgaw, NC 28425).
