With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luther James Stanley of Burgaw, North Carolina, who passed away on August 8, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Luther Stanley and Effie Knowles Stanley; his son-in-law Mike Pavlovich; and his siblings, Daniel Stanley and Elizabeth Jernigan.

He is survived by : his wife Ozella Stanley of Burgaw; his children, Brent Stanley (Karen) of Burgaw, Lynda Ligon (Mike) of Bolivia and Debbie Pavlovich of Wilmington; his brother Lacy Stanley (Peggy); his grandchildren, Kristy Gibson (Clark), Kimberly Ligon (Rich Mortimer), Laura Howard (Trey), Lee Pavlovich (Casey), Blake Stanley and Zeb Stanley; and his great grandchildren, River Gibson, Ellie Gibson, Avery Howard, Jack Howard and Kaylee Pavlovich.
