He was predeceased by: his parents, Haywood Pickett and Bessie Swinson Pickett; and his stepmother Helen Pickett. He is survived by: his wife Kim S. Pickett; his son Wayne Pickett (Marie) of Denmark, SC; his stepsons, Everton McClymont of Brooklyn and Marcus McClymont of Brooklyn; his siblings, Haywood Pickett, Jr. (Alice) of Burgaw, NC, Thomas Pickett of Watha, NC, Joseph Pickett (Patsy) of Burgaw, NC. and Brenda McCormick (Timothy) of Woodbridge, VA.; his stepsiblings, Marie Prince (Allen) of Waldorf, MD., Randolph King of Washington, DC. and Earl King of Washington, DC.; his siblings-in-law, William Sallie of New York, Allen Diggs of New York, Delon Diggs of New York, Vencent Diggs of New York, Michael Wade of New York and Jeanelle Smith; and his close friends, Ruth Mac of Denmark, SC, Arnold Lacewell (Rubia) of Brooklyn, NY and Frankie Gore of Delaware Many. He is also survived by Six nieces, Two nephews, a host of great-nieces and nephews.
