She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank McCall Pridgen and Betty Caison Pridgen; and her husband Merrell McKoy, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Merrell McKoy, Jr. (Melissa), Ruby McKoy Yerby (Don), Gregory McKoy and Renee Brame (Jason); her grandchildren, Taylor McKoy (Dora) and Jack Brame; and her niece Judy Potter. She is also survived by three great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Holly Baptist Church (5551 US-117, Burgaw, NC 28425). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at the Riverview Memorial Park (612 S Norwood St, Wallace, NC 28466).
