He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Francis Kestler; and his brother Douglas "Dodo" Kestler. He is survived by: his mother Karen Lee Kestler (Henn); his siblings, Erick Kestler and Emily Kestler; and his siblings' children, Jackson Kestler, Kameron Kestler and Madison Kestler.
