It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alene Tatum Saul (Burlington, North Carolina), born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Berry and Annie Eudora McKinney Tatum; her husband Levi David Saul, Sr.; her siblings, Leonard, Floyd Tatum, Maedeene and Maurien Wilson; and her children-in-law, Michael Wheeley and Linda Saul.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Saul Wheeley and Carol June Phillips (Ervin); her grandchildren, Sherri Brown (Ted), Margaret Hightower, David Lee Saul, Jane Turner Hogsed (Kevin), Michael Wheeley, Jr., Jodie Spencer (Glenn), Rev. John Alexander Coble (Tonya), Rev. Thomas Joel Coble (Beverly) and Penny Medley (Sam); and her great grandchildren, Brandon (Alex), Kali Schoolfield, Chad Brown, Sandy, Luke Gerner, Blair (Josh Voris), Nolan, Mason, Royce, Allie Hogsed, Lilliana Spencer, Victoria, Jacob, Elliana, Aaron Coble, Bob and Sydney Medley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
