He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Canfield and Mildred Canfield (Kilner). He is survived by: his children, David Canfield (James), Patrick Canfield (Debra), Kenneth Canfield (Amy), Kim McWhirter (Richard), Bobbi Ann Mazurek (Edward), Rick Erb (Carol), Kurt Roof (Wendy), Donna Pierce (Kenneth) and Jean Horne (David); his sister Nancy Freitag; his sister-in-law Hellen Canfield; his former wife Barbara Marasi (Canfield); his caregiver Julie Smith; his close friends, Paul and Gail Ellis; his wife Shirley Canfield (Roof); his brothers, Gordon Canfield, Clifford Canfield and Carl Canfield; his grandson Brett Roof; and his siblings-in-law, Marie Canfield, Gloria Canfield and Richard Freitag. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
