It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alton Lineberry of Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Alton's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Alton's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Lineberry and Swannie Bivens Lineberry; and his siblings, Arnettie L. Black and Ralph L. Lineberry. He is survived by: his sister Brenda Lineberry Everett (Tony); his close friend Cheryl Perry; and his nephew Scottie Lineberry.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Pat and Bud Lineberry Memorial College Fund of Belmont Baptist Church or AuthoraCare Collective Hospice in Burlington.
