She was predeceased by: her husband John W. Ward, Jr.; her parents, Jewell Rae Jones Brackett and Lewis A. Brackett; her daughter Sandra Ann Scarborough; and her grandson Bobby Hermann.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Ward (Billy) of Burlington; her sisters, Sherron Land of High Point and Gail Smith of Bridgeton; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Kernodle-Stone (Jeroen), Neil Kernodle (Sara), Amy Kernodle (Alex) and Cindy Hermann; and her friend Scot Ostrander. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous loving nieces and nephews.
