She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Clarence Burnett and Bertha Inez Gentry Burnett; and her daughter Tracy Kennedy. She is survived by: her husband Wayne; her children, Luann Tilley (Terry), Boyd Wayne "Pete" Kennedy, Jr. (Twila) and Hollie Stone (Robert); and her siblings, Gail Woods (Sam) and Butch Burnett (Doris). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holly Hill Baptist Church (2818 Edgewood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the West Concord Cemetery (331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord, NC 28027).
