She was predeceased by: her parents, John Arthur Moorehead and Rosa Lee Cates Moorehead; her husband Foyster Lawson, Jr.; her children, Jerry Lawson, Darlene Lawson Hunter, Tabitha Lawson and Mildred Ann Lawson; and her siblings, Rosa Marie Rogers, Matthew Moorehead and John Moorehead.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Lawson, Rena Lawson, Alice Lawson Farrish (Lewis), Foyster Lawson, III (Wendy), Eric Lawson, Christopher Lawson (Stacey) and Terry Lawson (Felicia); her siblings, Mary Ann Pierce, Polly Mae Pettiford and Mark Moorehead; her siblings-in-law, Berthina Lawson, Brenda Faye Lawson, Doris Ann Villines, Lois Poteat, James Lawson and Earl Lawson (Earline); her daughter-in-law Valerie; her friend Jerry Graves; her close friends, Christine Jenning, Angela Griffin, Evelyn and Cliff Foster; and also, Bea Burton and Ada Lee. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, and nephews.
