It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony W. Strickland of Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leamon Strickland and Gwendolyn Strickland (Henley); his sister Carole Flowers; and his mother-in-law Mary L. Holloway. He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his daughter Andrea Morgan of Henderson, NC; his grandchildren, Azlyn and Azrael Williams of Henderson, NC; his brother Lee Strickland (Diane); his nieces and nephews, David Strickland, Mitchell Flowers, Carole Strickland, William Strickland Jr. and LaToya Burney; his father-in-law Joseph Holloway Sr. of Carrollton, VA; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Denise Holloway of Atlanta, GA and Joseph Holloway Jr. (Michelle); and his nieces and nephews, Shanae Holloway, Kristy Wright (Terrian), Dean Richarson (Caroline) and Joseph A. Holloway. He is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.
