She was predeceased by: her husband Freddy Lee Ward; her parents, Garland Wall and Edith Juanita Frye Wall; her son Jeffrey Brent Cheek; and her granddaughter Summer McLeod.
She is survived by: her sons, John Cheek (Gayle) and Richard Cheek (Sherry); her sister Rebecca Wall; her grandchildren, Brystol Cheek, Taylor Cheek Jones (Tyler), Dylan McLeod and Chase McLeod; her great grandchild Callum Jones; and her close friend Bill Starling.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rich & Thompson Chapel - Burlington (306 Glenwood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Alamance Memorial Park (4039 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215).
