He was predeceased by: his spouse Pat Dawkins; his parents, Betty Roberts and Henry Dawkins; and his sister Faye Eastwood. He is survived by: his children, Ann Davis (Brad), Tracey Dawkins (Ziggy), Janie Martin (Rick), Steve Dawkins (Liz) and Beverly Blaylock (Kenny); his grandchildren, Adam Davis (Heather), Trevor Burke (Krystal), Courtney Martin, Joshua Martin, Kaysi Davis Bowden (Seth), Ashley Burke Parker (Adam), Lance Dawkins (Rebecca) and Jeffrey Hutchins (Tammy); his brother Mike; his sister-in-law Shelia Solomon; and his sibling's children, Rocky Solomon (Candace), Lauren Kiser (Chad), Kelli Holt (Ryan), Scotty Solomon, Debbie Solomon (Wade) and Ray Eastwood. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Efland United Methodist Church Cemetery (3418 US-70, Efland, NC 27243).
