He was predeceased by: his parents, Leath Bradsher Massey and Roxie Ann Eastwood Massey; his spouse Eleaner Sue Thomasson Massey; his son Jerry Wayne Massey; his grandson Ricky Wayne Massey; his brothers, John "J. R." Massey, Melvin "Shorty" Massey, James "Jim" Massey, Robert Massey and Bernie; Mason.
He is survived by: his sons, Al Massey (Cathy) and Roger Massey (Holly); his siblings, Frank Massey (Mary), David Massey, Alice Allen, Bea Cook, Becky Mitchell, Jean Mills and Lou Blair; his brother-in-law Tripp Thomasson (Teresa); and his close friends, Lil Hikes and Shirley Holmes. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to The Children's Shriner Hospital, Duke Cancer Center, or Hospice of Burlington.
