She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence; her parents, Thomas L. Ashley and Lizzie Compton Ashley; and her siblings, Mary Murray, Beatrice Walker, Pauline Michael, Vestal, Euliss, Roy, Coleman and Charlie Ashley.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Somers and Larry Somers (Cheryl). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
