She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dunbar Sr. and Norma Jean Dunbar; her siblings, Jean Shore, Deloris Mallory, Loren Dunbar, Delbert Dunbar and John Dunbar; her grandson Jace Gibbs-Wright; and her son James Christopher.

She is survived by: her husband Walter Michael; her children, Norma Wray (Roy), Corienna Gibbs, Allen Michael and Patrick Gibbs; her stepdaughter Sandy Blood; her grandchildren, Josh Wray, Brandon Wray, Chris Allen, Josh Allen, Kimberly Michael, Destiny Robinson, Kyndale Gibbs and Aleighia Gibbs; her stepgrandchildren, Bailey Blood-Dillion, Ravynn Foster and Jessey Blood; her siblings, Pearl McDonald, Penny Curry, Laura Johnson, Mary Mercado and Willie Dunbar; and her son Mark Christopher. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
