With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cameron Wilton Hawkins (Burlington, North Carolina), born in Marion, North Carolina, who passed away on January 3, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Cheek Hawkins and Ella Pinner Hawkins; his wife Mae Dew Pittman of Marion; and his children, Steve Hawkins and Marcia Hawkins Martin.
He is survived by: his sons, Bob and Jerry; his children-in-law, Polly Hawkins and C. J. Martin, Jr.; his grandsons, Will Hawkins, Barry Martin and Jeff Martin (Lori); and his great grandchildren, Griffin, Jackson and Amanda.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
