He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Jr. Wakefield and Kathryn Fulmer Wakefield; his children, Kristen Spears of Florida, Kathryn Wakefield of Louisiana and Joseph Wakefield of Louisiana; his siblings, Marsha Baird (John), Kathryn LeFaivre (Jack), Sharon Alderman (Jim), Bonnie Warlick, Clif (Debbie), Carol Nagel (Paul), Michael, MaryAnn Whitehurst (Ralph), Debbie Minick (Mike) and John (Lori); and his close friend Jean Martin Jones. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
