She was predeceased by: her husband William Mack Matthews; her parents, Giles Garrett Nicholson and Mozelle Rich Nicholson; and her brother Giles Garrett Nicholson, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Martha Matthews Denny (Mark) of Burlington, Caroline Matthews Major (Kent) of Tomball, TX and William Grant Matthews; and her sister-in-law Patricia Nicholson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
