She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Hackett and Lillian Carleen Barber Hackett; and her husband Curtis Wayne Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Claude (Tamara) and Craven (Kim); her grandchildren, Camron (Amanda), Collin, Cooper and Conner; her great grandchild Bennett; her sister-in-law Edna Jo Hackett; her pet Copper; and her brother Worth Hackett. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Apple's Chapel Christian Church Cemetery (7345 NC-61, Gibsonville, NC 27249).
