It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine (Cathy) Cross Chappell of Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Cross and Johnnie Madden Cross; and her sister Margaret Ann Cross Butler. She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Chappell; her sons, Josh Chappell (Kelly) and Clint Chappell (Alex); her grandchildren, Whitt, Ella, Mary Wade, Lauren, Amelia and Wes; and her brother-in-law Virgil Butler.
