Charles M. Hampton Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 28, 2026, at the age of 96, Charles M. Hampton (Burlington, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charles touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hillary Hampton and Sadie Stephens Hampton; and his wife Carol Martin Hampton. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Hampton Michael and Charles Gary Hampton (Linda); his granddaughter Hilary Hampton Peake (Ross McKnight); and his siblings, Kenny Hampton, Nancy Harrold and GlendaTurbyfill (Dennis). He is also survived by his family, friends.
