He is survived by: his siblings, Jewel Hudson Standfield, Peggy Atwater, Michael Wayne Spinks and Melvin Curtis Spinks; his stepsiblings, Juanita Sowell, Elois Wright, Fannie Bigelow, Francis Watlington, Joyce Watlington and Jimmy Watlington; his wife Shirley Sellars Spinks; his daughters, Marilyn Spinks Burnette (Artis) of Burlington, Annette Crawford (Lee) of Whitsett, Richetta Spinks Allison (Allen) of Concord and Deborah Spinks Rodriguez (Jose) of Burlington; his sisters, Carolyn Bigelow of Mebane, Virginia Miles (Junior) of Graham and Joann Watlington of Burlington; his siblings-in-law, Eddie Sellars (Sherdina) of Elon, Wesley Sellars (Loretta), Ruby Smith (Rick) of Raleigh, Hazel Chandler (Marshall) of Yanceyville, Brenda Bigelow, Rebecca Long of Burlington, Elaine Best (Morris) of Greensboro and Patricia Spinks of Caswell County; and his stepsiblings, Rueben Watlington of Winston-Salem, Aaron Watlington of Winston-Salem, Larry Watlington of Winston-Salem and Sherman Watlington of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
