It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Richard Averitt (Burlington, North Carolina), born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Howard Averitt and Lucy Forester Averitt Harris; his wife Hilda Madden Averitt; and his siblings, Juanita, Jeanette, Wyatt and Marvin Averitt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Buckner and Janice Allison; his grandchildren, Lenne Brown (Robbie) and Kyle Buckner; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Grant Brown and Emillie Brown.
