He was predeceased by: his son Chester Allen Bennett; his parent Alma Faye Bennett Kessler; and his stepfather Ralph Kessler. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bennett; his children, David Eugene Bennett (Amelia), Dwight "Tony" Anthony Bennett, Mary Katheryn Bennett and Anita Gale Bennett; and his siblings, Katherine R. Paschal (Wayne), Carolyn R. Cales, Rose Richmond, Larry Richmond, Diane R. Smith, Rebecca R. Warren, Ralph Darrell Kessler and Loretta Lynn Kessler. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
