He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Doc" Gilley and Wilda Gilley; and his in-laws, Rev. Edsel and Betty Caviness. He is survived by: his son Matthew; his caregiver Tammy Caviness Gilley; his daughter-in-law Lynnesaye Gilley; his grandchildren, Hunter and AnnaBeth Gilley; his sister Toni Gilley; his siblings-in-law, Doug and Cathy Dunman; and his pet Gracie. He is also survived by niece and several nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the McClure Funeral Service - Graham Get (1030 S Main St, Graham, NC 27253). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Home (1030 S Main St, Graham, NC 27253).
