She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Frank Allred and Rosetta Sykes Allred; her son Edwin Carlyle Parsons; and her brothers, Leonard Allred, William "Bill" Allred, Melvin Allred, Robert Eugene "Gene" Allred and Cary Allred.
She is survived by: her husband Tom Parsons; her daughter Frankie Newlin (Boyd) of Boone; her daughter-in-law Lee Parsons of Burlington; and her brother Larry M. Allred of Burlington. She is also survived by three grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.
