He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Marion Patterson and Elida Belle Garrison Patterson; and his brothers, Gordon and Marvin Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Lila Walker Patterson; his children, Eric Patterson (Lynne), Lisa Patterson Poe (Tom) and Kenneth Patterson (Sharie); and his pet Sugar. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and their spouses, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice Care of Alamance County/Authoricare, the A & O Civitans, or Bethlehem Christian Church.
