He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Mae McCall Holt; his parents, David E. Holt and Eloise Leonard Holt; and his sisters, Carol Long and Janice Matkins.
He is survived by: his children, Dee Childers (Michael) of Elon, Linda Busick (Mike) of Gibsonville, Charles Eugene Holt (Laura) of Snow Camp and David Holt (Lisa) of Elon; his grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Sandy (Marc), Melinda Kay Carrier, Kena Buckner, Crystal Dawn Busick, Michael Wayne Busick, Jr. (Kellie), Christopher Clemmons (Stephanie) and Brian Holt; and his brothers, Steve Holt of Burlington and Michael Holt of Wilmington. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
