He is survived by: his wife Sherry Ann Clark Mendenhall; his children, Chris Mendenhall (Alexandria Mao) of San Francisco, California and Amanda Mendenhall; his granddaughter Kaiya Mao Mendenhall; and his sister Mary Jane Mendenhall of Apex, NC..
