He is survived by: his wife Janet Isley Lassiter; his children, David Lassiter, Jr. (Stephanie) of Liberty, NC and Tina Isley (Nick) of Burlington, NC; his grandchildren, Ashton Isley, Gage Isley and Dawson Lassiter; his sister Linda Mann (Craig Yarborough) of Burlington, NC; and his caregivers, David, Jessica Clanton, Michelle Tate, Ashley White, Holt Walker, Sherri Miles, Sonja King, Dr. Gustav C. Magrinat and Dr. Daniel George. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
