With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delrita Dickens Cottle (Burlington, North Carolina), born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on May 27, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Delrita Dickens may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Dickens and Alice Moore; her stepfather Chester Moore; and her sister Naomi Roberts. She is survived by: her children, Benay Isley (Jerry Isley) and Jeffrey Cottle; and her grandchildren, Cameron Isley, Erika Mendenhall, Stephanie Cottle and Jack VanCleave. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Holly Hill Baptist Church, Burlington, NC, in her memory.
