She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandmothers, Martha Derusha Long and Derusha Peebles Stancell; her parent Derusha; her husband John; her children, Nancy Hogewood (late Mike Hogewood) of Greensboro and Bob Phillips (Kathy) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Melissa Hogewood Garrison (David), Robert Hogewood, Jake Phillips of Washington, D. C. and Clare Phillips of Charlotte; and her great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Darden and Pippa Garrison.
