He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewitt Torain and Edna Thompson Torain; and his sisters, Betty Nixon and Jacqueline Jackie Torain. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Goff Torain; his children, Devore Rodney Torain of New York, Amadeus Nick Goff of New York, Yvette Darling of New York and Erica Millner (Todd) of New York; and his siblings, Edward "Eddie" Torain (Ola) of New York and Joan McCollum of Burlington. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
