He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry and Lucille Summers Maxwell; his children, Brandon Kelly Maxwell and Archelle Eureka Williamson; and his siblings, Arlene Maxwell, Walter Maxwell, Jamie Robin Maxwell, Mary Maxwell McLean, Roy Lee Maxwell, Dorothy Maxwell Brown and Naomi Maxwell Neal.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Irvin Maxwell of Greensboro, NC, Payton Eugene Maxwell, Sr. of Greensboro, NC, Clarence Henry Maxwell of Greensboro, NC, Roxie Maxwell Summers of Brown Summit, Mozelle Maxwell Coleman of Newport News, VA, Linda Maxwell Fitzgerald, Janet Maxwell Bracken of Greensboro, NC and Brenda Maxwell Davis of High Point.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ebenezer United Church of Christ (734 Apple St, Burlington, NC 27217).
