It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris S. Simpson (Burlington, North Carolina), who passed away on September 29, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry H. Simpson, Jr.; her parents, John Simmons and Mamie Miles Simmons; and her siblings, Myrtle Allred (Preston), Eva Coble (Gray), Sue Brooks (Herbert), Edgar Simmons (Mary), Doake Simmons (Frances), Claude Simmons (Naomi) and Earl Simmons (Margaret).
She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Youngdahl (David) of Greensboro; her grandson Bradley Simpson Youngdahl of Charlotte; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Simpson (Mary) and Dr. Richard Simpson (Tandy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
