With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edwin Frank McDaries Sr. of Burlington, North Carolina, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on July 16, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Edward and Mary Louise McDaries; and his sister Mary Patricia McDaries. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Rebecca McDaries; his sons, Edwin "Mac" McDaries, Jr. (Melinda) and Ronald McDaries (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Ian McDaries (Kelsey), Caitlin Peek (Jordan), Christy Meredith (Thomas) and MacKenzie McDaries; his great grandchildren, Lily Meredith, Harper Meredith, Palmer Peek, Mason McDaries and Holly June Peek; and his sister Daisy Dianne Galla.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family asks that donations be made, on Mac's behalf, to the Burlington Fire Department Benefit Fund Association, 215 South Church Street, Burlington, NC 27215.
