He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Edmonds and Angeline Cates Edmonds; his wife Nellie Johnson Edmonds; his siblings, Joseph Edmonds, Bryant Edmonds, Cecil Edmonds, Cathleen Ipock, Frances Moore and Doris Murray; and his children, Jimmy Edmonds, Doug Roberts, Mike Mann and Lynn Edmonds (Lisa) of Charlotte.

He is survived by: his children, Debra Edmonds Norwood (Bruce) of Graham, Gene Edmonds (Denise) of Greensboro, Andy Mann (Terri) of Wilmington and Steve Mann of California; and his daughters-in-law, Beverly Mann (Mike) and Faye Roberts (Doug). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
