It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Anthony Chase Jr. in Burlington, North Carolina, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Charlotte (Tielker) and Eugene Anthony Chase; and also Jane Hatfield Chase. He is survived by: his wife Jane Hatfield Chase; his son James Anthony Chase (Margaret); his grandsons, James Henry Chase of Greensboro and John Dalton Chase of Greensboro; his siblings, Charlotte Hixson of Fort Wayne and Byron Chase (Linda) of Hartford City; and his brother-in-law Daniel Hatfield (Kathie) of Knoxville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
