She was predeceased by: her mother Blanche Mae Corbett; her husband James Roosevelt "Bub" Kirby; her sons, Sidney Carl "Rooster" Corbett, Franklin Roosevelt Kirby and Michael Kirby; and her siblings, George Corbett, Arthur Corbett, Inez Corbett Farmer, Hattie Pearl Corbett Jacobs and Sidney Corbett.
She is survived by: her children, Gladys Kirby Shepard-McClure (Deacon Louis), Joan Kirby Boone (Hantz), Peggy Kirby Reaves (Tony) and Reginald Kirby (Martha); her grandchildren, Tracey Kirby Milton (Greg), Christopher Kirby, Lamont Anderson, Timothy Kirby, Yolanda Kirby, Ashley Vincent, Duvell Kirby, Antoine Vincent, Tia Shepard, Angelly Clavijo (Jose) and Evelyn Clavijo; and her brother-in-law James Johnson of Roxboro, NC.. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
